Standard First Aid (Level C)

Standard First Aid (Level C) is a comprehensive course that equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to common medical emergencies. The course covers a range of topics, and upon successful completion, participants receive certification valid for three years.

Course Information

Our 2-day Standard First Aid – Level C course is a comprehensive program that equips you with essential skills to handle medical emergencies at home, in the workplace, or any other setting. It covers provincial workplace regulatory requirements*, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and responding to breathing, airway, and circulation emergencies for adults, children, and infants. In addition, the course provides training on controlling bleeding, shock, stabilizing fractures and dislocations, and managing head and spine injuries.

This comprehensive 16-hour course is required by WSIB for workplaces with six or more employees. It is highly recommended for employees in manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades, as well as youth organizations operating in urban areas, and members of the general public seeking a deeper understanding of urban first aid beyond the scope of the Emergency First Aid course.

CPR Options:

Level C CPR includes Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, plus AED use

This course meets or exceeds WSIB requirements for workplace First Aid Training and leads to Red Cross certification, valid for 3 years.

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to be prepared for unexpected emergencies.

Duration:
14 hours in-class with break

Course Time:

 8:30am to 4:30pm

Prerequisites:

 This course has no prerequisites.

Completion:

  • Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
    Min.
  • 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Certification:
3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED

Recertification:
Standard First Aid & CPR C: 7.5 hours in-class*
